GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payments

  • Casual Green Fees – All green fees are payable to the Professional upon booking
  • Societies – Please see the payment terms in the golf society section below

Please note the club operate a cashless system for both green fees and food & drink purchases.

Refunds and Cancellations

  • Provided you give at least 24 hours notice, a full refund or alternative booking will be given when your plans have to change at the last minute
  • Unfortunately, less than 24 hours notice is not eligible for a refund

Liability and Responsibility

  • All players play and walk the course at their own risk

GOLF SOCIETY INFORMATION

Availability

  • Society and Corporate days are welcome on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s
  • Please check availability with Stacey Harrison, Assistant Secretary on 01252 792493 or via​ email: stacey@hankley.co.uk
  • Tee times will be allocated by the club
  • Societies must adhere to tee times, otherwise they may lose their standing on the tee

Forms of Play

  • Play in 3 balls is encouraged, please speak to the office team if you wish to play in 2 or 4-ball groups.
  • TEXAS SCRAMBLE IS NOT PERMITTED

Society Tees, Club Starter & Prizes

  • Societies normally play from the Yellow Tees, other sets of tee’s may be played at the General Manager’s discretion
  • The Club starter John Cattell will meet you before play in the Clubhouse and on the first tee
  • Please email your start sheet to the Office if it is available beforehand 
  • Final numbers must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the date of the visit
  • The Club Professional, Jonathan Didlick, is most willing to discuss with organisers suitable prizes that can be obtained from his Shop
  • Pull and Electric Trolleys are permitted, but it is imperative that they are kept out of the heather at all times

Society Payments and General Information

  • A non-refundable deposit is required per person, which will be offset against the day’s charges
  • An invoice for the balance (which includes VAT at 20%, if applicable) will be left behind the bar
  • Please pay the Steward on the day or (by prior arrangement) with the office before the end of your day
  • Payment may be made by Credit / Debit Card  
  • Please advise the Office well in advance of any vegetarian or special diets
  • Please advise the Club in advance if you wish to bring a company banner

ON THE COURSE

Handicap Requirements

It is expected that all society members  and casual visitors should be able to play to a 24 handicap or better

Dress Code – On The Course

  • Smart, tidy and conventional golf attire is required
  • For your safety, proper golf shoes are required
  • Tailored shorts are most welcome throughout the Club, however socks must always be worn

Tee Sets

  • Play will be from the Yellow or Red tees unless prior permission has been granted by the General Manager
  • This is to help ensure good pace of play and the enjoyment of all golfers

Trolleys & Clubs

  • Trolleys and hire clubs can be booked and paid for through the Professional’s Shop
  • Please call on 01252 797717 or email: proshop@hankley.co.uk
  • Visitors are reminded of the need to ensure that golf clubs are secured in their vehicles between rounds

Mobile Phones

  • It is intended that your time with us is free from the distractions of everyday life
  • Should you wish to have your mobile phone with you, please ensure it is on silent
  • Phone calls may only be made from the changing rooms or Club car park, unless in an emergency situation
  • The use of mobile phones for diary, photographic, internet and the like is acceptable throughout the Club, provided it doesn’t impact negatively on others

Dogs

  • Society members and casual visitor golfers are not permitted to bring dogs onto the golf course

Slow Play

  • Slow play decreases the enjoyment of every other player on the course, so please do all you possibly can to avoid it
  • The universal rules of etiquette should be followed at all times and will be enforced if necessary
  • Persistently slow players may be asked to leave the course. No refund will be given

Care For The Course

  • All pitch marks must be repaired
  • Divots must replaced
  • Bunkers must be raked after visiting one
  • Trollies and golf cart must never be taken into the heather

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

Clubhouse Opening Hours

  • The Clubhouse Opens at 7:30am and closes at dusk each day
  • Coffee & bacon rolls are available from 7:45am
  • The Bar Opens from 7:30am

Dress In The Clubhouse

  • Golf clubs and trollies are not permitted in the Clubhouse
  • Smart and clean casual wear is welcomed
  • Ripped jeans, collarless shirts, leisure wear, caps or hats are not permitted
  • Golf shoes are only permitted in the foyer, changing rooms and spike bar

Security

  • Please do not leave valuables and wallets in the locker rooms
